The Connecticut Department of Transportation is applying to the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection for a Structures, Dredging and Fill, and Tidal Wetlands Permit and Section 401 Water Quality Certification for the Walk Bridge Replacement Project, pursuant to: Connecticut General Statutes (CGS) Section 22a-32, to conduct regulated activities in tidal wetlands; CGS Section 22a-361, to conduct work in tidal coastal or navigable waters of the State; and 33 U.S.C. Section 1341 (401 Water Quality Certification), to conduct an activity which may result in a discharge to certain waters of the State.
