Railroad Activity
Track and catenary work on the New Haven Line between Fort Point Street and the Strawberry Hill Avenue Railroad Bridge
- Friday, July 12 - Sunday, July 14, from 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM and 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM.
- Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19, from 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM.
- No impacts to local roads, rail service or pedestrian traffic
are anticipated. - Noise and lighting will be monitored.
Construction activities northeast, southeast, northwest and southwest of the WALK Bridge on the Norwalk River
- Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19, from 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- No impacts to marine traffic are anticipated.
- Noise will be monitored.
Other Activity
Overnight Utility work on East Avenue between Olmstead Place and Winfield Street
- Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19, from 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM.
- Alternating one-way traffic will be maintained on East Avenue.
- Noise and lighting will be monitored.
Construction activities southwest of the WALK Bridge near North Water Street
- Monday, July 15 - Friday, July 19, from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
- No impacts to local roads, sidewalks or marine traffic are anticipated.
- Noise will be monitored.
Eversource’s Norwalk Bridge Transmission Relocation Project will continue at the following locations:
Water Street near the intersection of Elizabeth Street (Night Work):
- Sunday, July 14 – Thursday, July 18, from 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM.
- At times, Water Street may be closed between Hanford Street and Haviland Street and detours will be implemented as needed.
- Local property and
business access will be maintained. Parking spaces will be reduced near
the work area.
