Traffic Impacts 

Osborne Avenue: Closed under the Railroad Bridge between Rowan Street and Fort Point Street thru March 2025. Detour as signed. Pedestrian and bicycle access maintained.

East Avenue: Monday – Wednesday, from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM and 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Alternating one-way traffic between Olmstead Place and Winfield Street.

Fort Point Street: Monday – Wednesday, from 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM and 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Alternating traffic patterns between South Smith Street and Moore Place.

North Water Street: Tuesday, from 5:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Alternating traffic patterns on North Water Street near the Maritime Aquarium.

Washington Street (Rt. 136) near the entrance of Veteran’s Memorial Park: Monday – Wednesday, from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Washington Street, travel lanes will be reduced near the work area as part of the Eversource Transmission Relocation Project.

Seaview Ave along the perimeter of Veteran's Memorial Park: Monday – Wednesday, from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Two-way traffic will be maintained. At times, intermittent traffic controls and sidewalk detours will be implemented as needed as part of the Eversource Norwalk Bridge Transmission Relocation Project.

Marine Activity

Norwalk River: Monday – Wednesday (24 hours). Intermittent eastern and western channel closures. One channel remains open to marine traffic.  

Rail Activity

East Norwalk Train Station: ADA compliant temporary platform installed for commuters.   

Parking

East Norwalk Train Station: Parking is reduced at the East Norwalk Train Station for station improvements. Additional parking is available for commuters at 180 East Avenue

Construction Activities

Day and Overnight Work at the WALK BridgeMonday - Wednesday, from 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM.
